• Keep your gold plated  jewellery separate from other jewellery and keep it in an airtight box or bag with anti-tarnish paper tabs as it will still tarnish like silver.

 

• Take off  your gold plated jewellery before swimming, bathing or washing your hands with chemical soaps. Apply perfume, cream and hair spray before putting on your jewellery.

 

• When cleaning your gold plated jewellery, wash it with a small amount of gentle dish soap or non-chemical soap and warm water with a soft brush. Rinse it well and allow to dry on a cloth or paper towel. 

 

• When your jewellery tarnishes, rub polishing cloth on it in an up-and-down motion, not circular to avoid highlighting fine scratches. Pretreated silver polishing cloths have anti tarnish-cleaning compounds that are woven into them that will make your pieces shiny again.
